Intro to Modern Type Design: Week 3

This week, we started digitizing some of our hand-drawn letters in Robofont.

In watching the demo, I was excited to get started, as the way the letters were being constructed was very similar to how I was already working in Illustrator. Though the idea of the program is similar (vector line work), that’s where the similarities end. I spent the better part of the week stumbling around trying to figure out shortcuts for simple actions (Rotate! Flip!).

For next week, we’ll continue working on more characters as well as generating a proof.
